Alleging that Kanche Ilaiah was behaving like a social terrorist, TRS MLA from Mahabubnagar Srinivas Goud asked him what he wanted achieve by creating differences among the various castes.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Goud said that Ilaiah had disrespected the Bathukamma festival, too, and added that it increasingly looked like there were some forces behind Ilaiah.
He asked Ilaiah to withdraw his book titled Samajika Smugglerlu Komatollu.
Peddapally MP Balka Suman told Ilaiah that it would be good for him to stop the Arya-Vysya controversy. He asked Ilaiah how it was correct to write a book following a dream that came to him. He reminded Ilaiah that the role played by the latter in the Telangana movement was known to everyone.
Another MLA from TRS Ganesh Gupta criticized Ilaiah for speaking in a provocative manner and for claiming that he had a life threat. He said that Ilaiah's language was objectionable and that it seemed like Ilaiah was acting like a foreign agent.
Rajya Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh T G Venkatesh termed Ilaiah a national betrayer. "In Arab countries, Ilaiah would be hanged on the main road for what he is doing. Acts should be brought in to hang people like him for creating differences among castes, so as to dissuade others from attempting the same. Some mentally imbalanced leaders are extending support to Ilaiah. We will file cases across the nation and make Ilaiah roam the country attending hearings. It is not just foolish but criminal for Ilaiah to write that book, and he needs to learn about Vysya history," he said.
Cine actor and TDP leader Kavitha opined that there was a need to teach a lesson to Ilaiah for lowering the image of the Vysyas. Participating in a round table meeting, Kavitha asked the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Ministers to initiate action against him. The Arya-Vysyas organized several social activities, and it was highly improper for Ilaiah to criticise the community, she said.
