TRS Govt Lacks Sense To Decide Priorities: BJP

Instead of addressing farm loans waiver, fee reimbursement and unemployment, KCR was diverting attention by focusing on Independence Day, the BJP said.
Hyderabad | 6th August 2014
Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday accused the TRS government of lacking sense in deciding priorities.

Addressing a press conference, Reddy said that the government had completely ignored the issues that required immediate attention.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao showed no seriousness in addressing issues like the waiver of farm loans, fee reimbursement and eradication of unemployment in the Telangana region. Instead, he was trying to hit headlines and divert the people's attention by taking decisions like celebrating Independence Day at Golconda Fort.

Reddy said that the change of dress code for the Hyderabad Police and the appointment of Sania Mirza as Telangana's Brand Ambassador could have waited. Instead of expending his energies on such trivial issues, KCR should have focused on other important issues concerning lakhs of farmers, students and unemployed youth.

The Telangana BJP chief also objected to the holding of the Independence Day celebrations at the Golconda Fort. He said that KCR had selected an area where a majority of the people had opposed the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, and that the decision was an insult to the martyrs of Telangana. He asked KCR to explain the logic behind his decision.

He also demanded the official celebration of the Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17. (INN)
