Stating that small states have been at the forefront in terms of development after the nation attained freedom, Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender said that it was painful that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was saying that the day on which Telangana was created was a black day.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Etela said that Naidu was speaking like a blind man, given that Telangana was making rapid strides in development.
Naidu's provocative speech was highly objectionable since both Telugu states were developing quickly after the bifurcation, he added, and claimed that the people of both states were hating Naidu for shedding crocodile tears.
He asked Andhra Pradesh's people to monitor the words of Naidu, and urged them to ask their Chief Minister to move forward without stooping to low-level criticism.
He said that the people of the two states needed love and good relations, and not enmity.
Congress senior leader T Jeevan Reddy too alleged that Naidu trying to provoke the sentiments of the people of two states with his comment.
Speaking at Assembly media hall, Reddy asked Naidu whether the Congress party should be hanged for conceding statehood to Telangana.
Targeting the TRS government next, Reddy asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao where his government constructed the projects and where the Congress had obstructed them.
He also asked KCR whether standing by the side of the displaced people of the projects was wrong.
He claimed that the Congress leaders were standing beside the displaced people just as KCR had stood beside the people displaced by the Midmaneru project.
