Traffic Ban At Charminar For Ramzan

The main road between Madina and Charminar will be closed for all types of vehicular traffic, upto 1 September.

With less than 4 days left for Eid-ul-Fitr, many areas in the Old City have turned into shopping zones. The stretch from Madina circle to Charminar has already turned into a pedestrian zone, with absolutely no space left for the any vehicle.

The Hyderabad City Police have imposed traffic restrictions, in order to decongest the shopping areas further.

According to City Police Commissioner A K Khan, the main road between Madina and Charminar will be closed for all types of vehicular traffic, upto 1 September.

Further, the traffic police have also imposed restrictions and diversion on certain routes.

Vehicles coming from Nayapul may proceed towards Salarjung Museum, Darulshifa Rotary and further. Similarly, traffic from MG Bus Station will be diverted at Madina Circle towards City College.

Vehicles from Shah Ali Banda, Nagulchinta, towards Charminar, will be diverted towards Khilwath at Himmatpura X Roads.

Traffic from Chowmohalla and Haribowli will not be allowed towards Charminar.

Traffic coming from Kotla Alijah towards Charminar will be diverted towards Bibi Bazar at Chowk Maidan Khan, from it will proceed towards Hafeez Danka Mosque.

Vehicular traffic from Petlaburj and Moosa Bowli towards Charminar will be diverted at Motigalli, towards Khilwath.

Traffic coming from Eitbar Chowk will not be allowed towards Kali Kamaan, and will be diverted at Eitbar Chowk to proceed towards Mandi Mir Alam Market or Bibi Bazar.

Traffic coming from Mitti Ka Sher will not be allowed towards Gulzar House, and will be diverted at Mitti Ka Sher towards Ghansi Bazar, and the traffic will be diverted at Iranigalli towards Eitbar Chowk and Mandi Mir Alam Market.

According to Khan, the restrictions will also apply to APSRTC and city buses. All road users have been requested to co-operate with the traffic police. (INN)
