TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud today announced that the Congress Political Affairs Committee (PAC) would meet on July 4 at Gandhi Bhavan, and that a large public event, expected to draw around 15,000 people, would follow in the evening at L B Stadium as part of the party's Jai Bapu Jai Bheem Jai Samvidhan event where Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge would address the gathering.
He said that the TPCC leaders would pull all stops to make the meeting a huge success and prove the support of the people for the party.
Speaking about another high-profile issue, Goud said that the Disciplinary Committee would also soon address issues concerning leaders from Warangal.
The TPCC boss also criticised the BJP for its "fascist policies" regarding unveiling Congress leader D Srinivas's statue in the presence of BJP leaders, and said that DS was a staunch secularist and had never aligned with the BJP or the RSS.
He also said that the BJP had no moral right to question the Congress.
Goud also claimed that the Congress would win the Jubilee Hills by-election, and also announced that a statue of Mukesh Goud would soon be erected in Hyderabad.
