In a record of sorts, the Srivari Hundi in the famous Lord Venkateswara shrine of Tirumala recorded a collection of Rs 100 crore in June 2019.
It also registered a total of 24.66 lakh pilgrims in the month.
June 2019 recorded better figures than June 2018 in every major metric, including distribution of laddus, serving of anna prasadam and tonsures.
While 24.1 lakh pilgrims had darsans of the Lord during June 2018, this year an additional 2.56 lakh pilgrims had darsans, and while the Srivari Hundi collected Rs 91.81 crore during last June, this year it has crossed the magic figure taking the total to Rs 100.37 crore.
Also, while 64.05 lakh anna prasadams were given to pilgrims in June 2018, this year 71.02 lakh meals were served. And while 95.58 lakh laddus were distributed during in June 2018, this year the figure was 1.13 crore.
Also, 12.88 lakh tonsures were recorded in June 2019 as against 11.90 lakhs during June 2018.
The occupancy rate of accommodation was 107% this June as against 106% in June 2018.
