Former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday visited the YSR Samadhi at Idupulapaya to pay homage to his father and former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
This was Jagan's first visit to his father's memorial after quitting the Lok Sabha seat from the Kadapa parliamentary segment.
Jaganmohan Reddy, along with his supporters, came to Idupulapaya and placed wreaths on the samadhi. They prayed for the departed leader's soul and observed silence for a minute.
The Mekapati Brothers, Jupudi Prabhakar, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Srikanth Reddy, Pulla Padmavathi, Amarnath Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy were also present among the thousands of people who had gathered at the Samadhi.
The large number of people also raised slogans in support of Jagan.
Earlier, former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy met the former MP at his Kadapa residence and expressed solidarity with him.
According to sources, Jagan will return to Hyderabad later tonight and announce his future plans on Wednesday morning.
