Rs. 2.5 lakh Stolen From Businessman

A businessman was robbed of Rs. 2.5 Lakh after he withdrew the amount from a bank.
Hyderabad | 9th October 2010
Devious criminals managed to divert the attention of a businessman and made off with Rs. 2.5 lakh of his money under Chandanagar police station limits on Saturday.

According to sub-inspector Anjaiah, Seetharamaraju (47), a resident of Bachupally in Rangareddy district, had withdrawn the money from the State Bank of Hyderabad, RC puram branch at around 10:30 am.

Seetharamajaru had placed the money in a bag and proceeded towards his office. At Bowenpally check-post, 2 unidentified men on a two-wheeler called out to him. They said that fuel was leaking from his car and pointed at the back of the vehicle.

The businessman immediately pulled to the side of the road and went to the back of the car to check if there was any leak, but found none.

By the time he had realized that there was something amiss and peered inside the car, the bag, along with the money was missing.

Seetharamajaru immediately approached the Chandanagar police station to lodge a complaint.

Police registered a case and took up further investigations.
