Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said that Visakhapatnam would be developed as the new base of the Telugu film industry (TFI).
The Chief Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the upcoming Film Nagar Cultural Centre while launching the beautification of the Visakhapatnam Airport.
Naidu assured all possible help to develop the film industry in the State.
He recalled how Telugu thespians late N T Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageshwar Rao were responsible for the development of film industry in Hyderabad, and said that a similar effort by the same and other families would centre the TFI in Vizag now.
Naidu also thanked the people of Visakhapatnam for extending support in the re-construction of the city ravaged by the Hudhud cyclone.
He said the Centre was cooperating with and helping the State even more than assured during the bifurcation of the State.
