Prominent film writer and lyricist Kandikonda Yadagiri passed away this morning.
He was 49.
Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao visited his residence, and offered floral tributes and consoled Yadagiri's family members.
The minister described Kandikonda Yadagiri as a Warangal bidda, and said that Yadagiri's passing away was an irreparable loss to the Telangana literary world.
He assured the family members that the state government would extend all possible assistance to them.
Cinematography and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav too offered floral tributes Yadagiri.
With MLA Maganti Gopinath in tow, the minister condoled the death and consoled the family members of the lyricist.
Talking to press persons later, he said that the government would provide a two-bedroom house to the family of the lyricist, and all possible other help and support.
"Yadagiri supported the statehood movement, and after that contributed his best to the film industry as a lyricist. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and minister K T Rama Rao are committed to providing all possible help to his family," the minister said.
Noted film writer Parchuri Gopalakrishna too expressed shock and pain at the sudden demise of the lyricist.
