Telangana Irrigation and Marketing Minister T Harish Rao reportedly leave for New Delhi on Wednesday to meet with the Centre and will seek Rs. 7,990 crores for the completion of various projects in the State besides urging it to relax the environmental and forest clearances norms for those projects.
Rao would meet Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti and seek her cooperation for the speedy completion of projects by easing environmental norms.
The Irrigation Minister would also meet Union Agriculture Minister Radhamohan Singh and Union Environment Minister Anil Dhave, and seek the release of funds for the projects.
This comes after the Union Water Resources Minister said that the Palamur - Ranga Reddy project did not have sufficient environment clearances.
