Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders hailing from the Telangana region met the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee at Lake View Guest House, on Tuesday. Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Kadiyam Srihari, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Devender Goud were among the politicians who took part in the meeting.
The delegation made a Powerpoint presentation elucidating the reasons why a separate state for Telangana must be carved out of Andhra Pradesh, including a list of the injustices meted out to the region.
According to the leaders, if Telangana was separated in 1956, the region would have developed long back. No formula or solution would work for the issue, except for the creation of a separate state, they told the panel. They also questioned the panel about why projects allocated to Telangana weren't being completed.
