Telangana Swine Flu Death Toll Touches 51
From 1st Jan till 23th Feb, of 4,096 samples tested, 1,325 were found to be positive, and the deaths because of Swine Flu and other complications as on date are 51.

The state health authorities on Tuesday informed that the death toll due to Swine Flu this year had touched 51.
According to the Swine Flu bulletin, this year, from 1st January till 23th February, of 4,096 samples tested, 1,325 were found to be positive, and the number of deaths because of Swine Flu and other complications as on date was 51.
On 23th February, of 56 samples tested, nine were found positive.
"The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (up to 23th February) is showing a decrease in intensity. The figures are 30, 34, 24, 47, 56 and 9," the bulletin said.
The authorities also assured that sufficient stock of medicine was available at all teaching hospitals, district hospitals and area hospitals.
There are enough testing kits and kits for Viral Transport Medium (VTM), they mentioned.
"Citizens are advised to take precautions such as reporting to the hospital upon the first symptoms of Swine Flu like high fever, sneezing cough and body pains. Citizens are also advised to avoid going to crowded places, clean their hands as frequently as possible, avoid shaking hands, and cover their noses/mouths while sneezing and cough," the bulletin said.
