Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy called on Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi, on Wednesday.
The duo reportedly discussed the latest political situation in Andhra Pradesh, especially the fallout of the Samaikyandhra agitation going on in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.
The Chief Minister reportedly admitted before Sonia Gandhi that the state administration was badly hit due to the indefinite strikes of the APNGOs and other organisations.
However, he assured his party chief that he would take immediate steps to bring the state back to normalcy. Meanwhile, he is also said to have expressed his disapproval over the decision to bifurcate the state.
It may be mentioned here that Kiran Kumar Reddy already received a pat on the back from AICC general secretary and state Congress affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh for handling the crisis effectively. (INN)
