Telangana Under Congress A Dream: BJP

Condemning the statement of Union Ministers Sushil Kumar Shinde and Ghulam Nabi Azad, Bandaru Dattatreyya said that the Congress party had no respect for the martyrs of Telangana.
Hyderabad | 28th January 2013
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday accused the Congress party of not showing respect towards the martyrs of Telangana.

Talking to reporters at the BJP State Headquarters here, BJP senior leader Bandaru Dattatreyya said that the formation of Telangana during Congress regime was not only difficult, but impossible. He alleged that the Congress High Command was under the control of the Seemandhra lobby. Therefore, achieving statehood for Telangana during the Congress' rule was nothing but a dream.

Dattatreyya reiterated that the BJP would form the Telangana state after it comes to power in the 2014 elections. Condemning the statement of Union Ministers Sushil Kumar Shinde and Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said that the Congress party had no respect for the martyrs of Telangana, who had laid down their lives demanding statehood for the region. He said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar too was incapable of handling the situation, and that he had confined himself to Delhi tours to please the High Command. (INN)
