NCP leader Sharad Pawar has said that he wants to see an early solution to the Telangana issue.
"Our party wishes that Telangana will emerge as a separate state soon. The problem should be solved at the earliest," he told reporters here on Thursday. "We should respect the sentiments of the people of the region, and put an end to the long-pending problem," he added.
"I told the Prime Minister that the issue should be sorted out at the earliest," he said.
Pawar has also had the Vidarbha issue haunting Maharashtra since a long time, and NCP has sailed with Congress while Shiv Sena and BP are in-alliance in that state. (INN)
