Seven Maoists Killed In Police Encounter In Mulugu
All police stations in the area have been placed on high alert due to the possibility of retaliatory action by Maoists.

Seven Maoists were killed in an encounter that occurred this morning in the Eturu Nagaram Chalchaka forest area of Mulugu district, during a fierce exchange of fire between security forces and Maoists.
The operation was jointly conducted by Telangana Greyhounds and the anti-Maoist squad.
It is being reported that key Maoist leaders were among the dead. The identified individuals include Bhadru alias Pappanna, secretary of the Yellandu and Narsampet area committee, and members of his squad. The others have been identified as Kurusam Mangu alias Bhadru alias Pappanna (35), Egolapu Mallaiah alias Madhu (43), Mussaki Deval alias Karunakar (22), Mussaki Jamuna (23), Jai Singh (25), Kishore (22) and Kamesh (23).
Though seven Naxals were killed, police believe that eight others managed to escape. Search operations have been intensified in Tadwai, Govindraopeta, Eturunagaram, Venkatapuram and Vajedu mandals along the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. Vehicles traveling on main roads are being stopped and searched, and suspects taken into custody are being interrogated.
Tension has gripped the Eturu Nagaram agency area following the encounter. All police stations in the area have been placed on high alert due to the possibility of retaliatory action by the Maoists, and the incident has left residents in the area panicking and uncertain about future developments.
