RTC Strike Effectively Called Off, JAC Seeks Face-Saver

The TSRTC employee unions' JAC informed the government that the employees would end the strike and resume duties if the latter created a conducive atmosphere.
Hyderabad | 20th November 2019
The TSRTC employee unions' JAC on Wednesday informed the Telangana government that the employees would end the ongoing strike and resume duties if the latter created a conducive atmosphere.

The JAC also urged the State government to send a list of problems being faced by the workers to the State Labour Commissioner to enable him to prepare a report for submission to the High Court as per the latter's Monday order.

The JAC communicated the above through a statement it released after a meeting in the wake of the High Court's recent hearing, where it perused and discussed the High Court ruling at length.

It also requested the government to treat the corporation as a model employee-friendly organization as per the court's observations.

JAC Convener Ashwatthama Reddy, and Co-Conveners Raji Reddy, Lingamurthy and O Sudha took part in the meeting.
