TRS Says No To Hyderabad As UT
TRS members say that Hyderabad shouldn't be made the Union Territory, and it can be the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh "only" for 10 years.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Thursday said that Hyderabad should be the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh only for 10 years.
Talking to reporters here, Nagarkurnool MP Manda Jagannatham, and Peddapalli MP Dr. G Vivek said that there should be no change in the status of Hyderabad except that the city will be the capital of the 2 states for a decade.
They rejected the proposal of making Hyderabad as a Union Territory.
They said that the new Seemandhra state has lot of natural and other resources, and it would register a faster growth. They said that that a new capital for Seemandhra state should be set up at the earliest, and it should have a Central University, an IIT, and other Central institutions. (INN)
