Freedom fighter Konda Laxman Bapuji accused Telangana's political parties and political leaders of not being sincere towards the cause of statehood.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch of a new political entity - the Telangana Praja Rajyam Party - in Hyderabad on Saturday, Bapuji lamented that all political parties are working towards their selfish interests.
He said that political leaders must follow the principle of "no jhanda (flag), no agenda" in order to achieve statehood for Telangana. He said that Telangana would be a reality only if politicians work unitedly and sincerely for the cause.
Telugu Desam Telangana Forum leaders Errabelli Dayakar Rao and M Narasimhulu also attended the event.
The T-PRP was launched by Supreme Court advocate V Venugopal. Many leaders associated with the erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party have joined the new party. (INN)
