Meet The Minister Held With Labour Minister G Vivek
The minister received grievances from the public directly and resolved several issues on the spot by coordinating with officials from the concerned departments.
After speaking at the 'Meet The Minister' program organised today at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, Telangana Labour minister Vivek Venkatswamy received public grievances and resolved several issues on the spot by coordinating with officials from the concerned departments.
Addressing the media on the occasion, the minister criticised the previous BRS regime, and said that people were denied the opportunity to interact with ministers during its 10-year rule. In contrast, he claimed, the Congress government was offering open access to its ministers.
He also alleged that during the BRS regime police protection was a barrier to public interaction, whereas the present government had not filed any cases against anyone to date.
He also said that while the BRS government had dismantled the iconic Dharna Chowk, the Congress administration had reinstated the public's right to protest peacefully.
Swamy also criticised BRS working president K T Rama Rao for spreading misinformation that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was not concerned about the public. He said that the Chief Minister had instructed ministers and MLAs to remain accessible to the public, and that the face-to-face interaction with the public was initiated under the leadership of PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud aimed at addressing the people's problems in real time.
He added that preparations were underway to introduce a law to protect gig workers' rights, and assured that appropriate steps would be taken in their interest.
