The Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) convenor professor Kodandaram announced today that a meeting of the JAC will be held on 12th February, to decide the future course of action of the committee. He said the JAC strongly disapproves of the delay by the Centre in spelling out the terms of reference of the Justice Srikrishna Committee, for which it is eagerly waiting.
He added that even in the wake of so much going on, the state government was not doing anything, while the steps taken by the center were saddening. The Telangana movement will go on till a bill for separate statehood for the region is passed in Parliament, he stressed.
Kodandaram said that the JAC has asked Telangana Muslims to conduct special prayers in mosques on the 12th of February, a Friday. It being a Sivaratrii, the same day will also see prayers by the Hindu community, while prayers will be held in churches on the 14th.
