KCR, Vijayasanthi Resign

Telangana Rahstra Samithi President and party MP Vijayasanthi have resigned from the Lok Sabha in their protest for a separate Telangana state.

One day after the mass resignations by Telangana lawmakers, on day 1 of the Telangana bandh, Telangana Rahstra Samithi President and party MP Vijayasanthi resigned from the Lok Sabha in their protest for a separate Telangana state.

Though the two leaders hadn't originally planned to quit, the first call for their resignations was sounded by Congress MLA Konda Surekha, who demanded that they, too, resign.

KCR faxed his resignation to Lok Sabha Speaker on Monday evening, and is set to meet her today.

All the TRS MLAs are also reportedly on the verge of resigning from their seats.
