Telangana Hits Arya 2

The matinee screening of Arya 2 has been halted in Telangana districts by striking TRS supporters, following the yet-to-be-made-official stand by Chiranjeevi’s party PRP on the Telangana issue. Telangana supporters have declared action against all movies associated with the superstar’s family, including Ram Charan Tej and Allu Arjun.

The JAC, students, Chiranjeevi’s fans association, PRP workers, TRS workers and theatre owners are all in this together, and have taken offence at the actor’s U-turn. The districts affected include Nizamabad, Medak, Warangal, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar.

There are also questions being raised on other families in the movie business and their respective stands on the Telangana issue.

Meanwhile, Lagapati Rajagopal, Congress MP from Vijayawada, is on the 3rd day of his fast-unto-death that he launched for the cause of Samaikya Andhra. Nizamabad MSO Kuldeep Sahni has threatened action against news channels for supporting the Samaikya Andhra cause, and has called for an end to Lagadapati’s protest.
