Telangana has been chosen for the Promising State Of The Year award by CNBC-Network 18 for 2015.
The award will be presented at a program in Mumbai on January 13.
CNBC-Network 18 has been offering this award for 11 years now, and this year decided to give it to Telangana "for its commitment to the development of all sectors and its efforts for inclusive growth".
This was communicated to IT Minister K T Rama Rao, who is likely to receive the award.
A jury comprising Uday Kotak, Dilip Singhvi and Shikha Sharma announced the award.
The jury said that Telangana had surpassed all standards set by it.
A special invitation for receiving the award was sent to KTR, according to a press release.
