Telangana Gets Award For Promoting Renewable Energy

The Telangana government has received the award for 'Outstanding Performance In Promotion Of Renewable Energy' from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Telangana government has received the award for 'Outstanding Performance In Promotion Of Renewable Energy'.

The award was accepted by Telangana Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy and Energy Secretary Aravind Kumar from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an event held in Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on the occasion of the First Renewable Energy Global Investors Meet And Expo - Re-Invest.

The award has been given in view of the addition of 809 MW of renewable energy capacity in Telangana during the last four years, and in recognition of efforts that have been made to promote energy security, equity, accessibility and sustainability in the country. (INN)
