TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, on Monday, expressed his confidence that the Telugu Desam Party would form the new governments in both the states of Telangana and that of the residual Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a meeting of Seemandhra leaders at NTR Trust Bhavan, Naidu said that only TDP could develop the residual state and that the party had a clear vision on the building of the new capital.
He reminded that it was TDP which had developed Andhra Pradesh by introducing the Vision 2020 document. He ridiculed the claims of the YSR Congress Party on the part that the latter had allegedly palyed in the development of the Seemandhra region.
Further, Naidu also claimed that the backward classes of the Telangana region had their hopes pinned on the TDP.
Naidu also predicted that the TRS would merge with the Congress party before the general elections.
He said that the Congress party had created a rift among the Telugu people to prevent its extinction from Andhra Pradesh.
The TDP chief asked KCR to explain his contribution in the development of Hyderabad. He also condemned N Kiran Kumar Reddy's efforts to launch a new party. (INN)
