Former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who is on an indefinite hunger strike demanding a separate Telangana state, said on Monday that there is no question of his withdrawing his fast.
Komatireddy's fast entered its 7th day today. He was shited to NIMS on Sunday, under tight police security.
PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana was among the Congress leaders who met him today, some of whom requested him to withdraw his fast. Komatireddy, however, has said that he would do so only after the Centre announces a roadmap for the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Meanwhile, Telangana Congress leaders held a meeting at Panchayat Raj Minister Jana Reddy's house, to discuss Komatireddy's fast and the Telangana situtation. This is the 3rd time that Congress leaders from Telangana have met ever since Komatireddy launched his hunger strike.
At the meeting, it was decided to ask Komatireddy to end his fast.
