Congress Wants Jogulamba Gadwal Collector Suspended
The Telangana Congress demanded that the government suspend Jogulamba Gadwal Collector Shruthi Ojha for causing the death of a pregnant woman in the district.
AICC Secretary S A Sampath Kumar on Tuesday demanded that the state government suspend Jogulamba Gadwal district Collector Shruthi Ojha for causing the death of a pregnant woman in the district.
He alleged that the Collector had failed to save the life of the woman Jameela due to the negligent manner that she (the Collector) adopted.
He said that Ojha had shrugged off the responsibility after shifting Jameela to the Mahabubnagar district hospital without issuing orders to the doctors of the hospital to extend treatment to the patient.
He said that the mother and her child would have been saved had the Collector taken more ownership.
Kumar said that such incidents were happening due to lack of coordination between the public representatives and the officials of the district.
He demanded that the state government come to the rescue of the victim's family.
Raising the issue of the coronavirus, Kumar alleged that the Collector had also failed to contain the spread of the deadly virus in the district, and that she was responsible for turning the entire district into a red zone.
He alleged that the Collector never responded swiftly to any of the concerns raised by the Mugonipally village of Aija mandal due to the presence of corona positive patients.
