Congress' Total Support For Anti-CAA Resolution In Assembly

The Telangana Congress promised to would extend total support to the resolution proposed to be moved by the government in the Assembly opposing the CAA.
Hyderabad | 9th March 2020
TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday said that his party would extend its total support to the resolution to be moved by the Telangana government in the state Assembly opposing the controversial CAA, NRC and NPR in the state.

The TPCC chief wrote an open letter on the issue to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. In the letter, Reddy urged the Chief Minister to pass a resolution in the state legislature on the issue at the earliest as the CAA was basically discrimination on the grounds of religion.

He also told the Chief Minister that the Kerala government had already issued a GO suspending all activities related to the controversial laws, and urged the Chief Minister to take immediate steps to release a similar GO for Telangana.
