The Telangana Congress has decided to hold Azadi Gourav Yatras from August 9 to 15 in order to celebrate the 75th Independence Day celebrations in the State as per the instructions of the All India Congress Committee.
State Congress working president Mahesh Kumar Goud held a Zoom meeting with all DCC presidents on the issue.
CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka took part in the conference from Khammam district.
Speaking on the occasion, Goud made it clear that the Congress had played a pivotal role in distributing the fruits of the freedom of the country to all the citizens.
He said that India had become one of the great countries of the world today due to the hard work of the Congress and its governments before and after Independence.
He asked the party leaders to take part in the padayatra in large numbers and to explain to the people the fights of the party's leaders and their sacrifices for the development of the country.
He said that the party should hold the padayatras involving 75 important leaders of the party, and that the padayatras should be held for 75 km. He said that the padayatras should link all the Assembly constituencies.
