Telangana Congress leaders have agreed to constitute a core committee to represent the Telangana wing of the Congress.

Congress leaders hailing from the Telangana region, who renewed their Telangana demand by resigning from their posts recently, met today at the Nampally exhibition grounds, and held a meeting for about 3 hours.
The meeting was attended by 27 lawmakers in all, who agreed to constitute a core committee to represent the Telangana wing of the Congress. The move is meant to simplify the cumbersome exercise of getting all Telangana leaders to meet each time there is a need for a collective opinion.
The Congress High Command, meanwhile, has reportedly told the Telangana group that there is no question of a Bill on a separate Telangana state even in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament. This is possibly why the latter is having to put up a brave front; T-Cong leaders are repeatedly letting it be known that "there is no question of going back on the resignations".
This, when not a single of the submitted resignations has been accepted so far. AP Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar has said today that he will consult legal experts to examine the resignations made by MLAs. There seems to be no such statement even, from Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.
The Telangana Congress meeting today also decided that no one from the party will join the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC), and that the T-Congress agenda would run parallel to that of the JAC.
K Kesava Rao, K Jana Reddy, B Saraiah, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Manda Jagannatham, Madhu Yaski, Ponnam Prabhakar, G Sukhender Reddy, Balaram Naik, S Rajaiah and Suresh Shetkar were among the leaders who attended the meeting.
