Bemoaning the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal's October 19 verdict on the sharing of the Krishna river waters, Telangana Congress MLC and AICC Secretary Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy demanded the Chief Minister convene an all-Party meeting and brief them on the step forward.
Speaking to the media at Assembly Media Hall on Thursday, Reddy said that it was illogical on the part of the Krishna Tribunal to not consider the four states as stakeholders while passing the judgment.
He said that Telangana would experience heavy losses with this verdict. Reddy questioned Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the reason why the Tribunal had not considered the arguments made by the State government.
He asked the CM to deliver a swift and impactful response to the verdict and assured him that the Congress was ready to join hands with the Ruling Party in this issue.
He also said that the Telugu ministers in Narendra Modi's Cabinet should tender their resignations protesting against the verdict if necessary.
