Congress MLAs led by CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka met disgruntled party MLA T Jagga Reddy at the CLP office in the city.
Prominent MLAs including Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and D Sridhar Babu were present at the meeting.
The leaders discussed all his grievances with Jagga Reddy, and extended their complete support to him.
Reddy explained the reasons that forced him to take the decision to quit the party, and told his colleagues that when he could face such problems despite being the working president of the party, he could imagine the plight of the ordinary leaders and workers of the party.
He said that he wanted to quit the party as he did not want to cause any harm to the party by continuing in it.
Speaking to media persons later, Vikramarka expressed confidence that Jagga Reddy would not quit the party.
He said that the party would soon hold organize a meeting for Reddy with the party high command.
Referring to the meeting held by Reddy in his Assembly constituency Sangareddy today, he said that there was no link between that meeting and Reddy's decision to quit the party.
