The leaders of the Telangana unit of the Congress today mounted a bitter attack on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Telangana Mala Mahanadu chief and party leader Addanki Dayakar claimed that the CM had cheated the Congress by "retracting from his promise" of merging the TRS with his party, and that the latter had cheated the Dalit community of the state as well by retracting from his promise of making a Dalit leader the CM of the state.
Condemning Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy for using "foul language" against TPCC head A Revanth Reddy, the Congress leader then asked the minister where he was during the Telangana agitation.
Further, responding to Malla Reddy's challenge to Revanth Reddy, he added, "Will Malla Reddy really keep his promise of resigning from his post if Revanth takes up the challenge of contesting against him from the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency? The MP is ready to take up his challenge as he has already won from the area before, but I wonder if Malla Reddy will keep his word."
Dayakar then came up with a challenge of his own. He claimed that the TPCC chief would readily quit from the post of MP and contest from the Gajwel constituency if KCR resigned from the posts of both CM and MLA.
Talking about the current political scenario of the state, the leader alleged, "There isn't a single educated person in the state Cabinet today. The CM should know that we will expose him and his government by touring the entire state. We will also teach a befitting lesson to the TRS and its ally, the MIM."
