Leader Of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council, Mohammed Ali Shabbir today slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for moving to a "lavish house" without fulfilling the TRS poll promise of providing free double bedroom houses to the poor in the State.
Addressing the media at the CLP office along with MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Shabbir Ali questioned KCR on the fulfillment of the promise of building 2.6 lakh double bedroom houses for the urban and rural poor in the State. Instead of fulfilling the manifesto the Chief Minister built a mansion sprawling several acres, for himself.
He fumed at the CM for supposedly constructing bullet proof toilets and bedrooms, and quipped that the latter was afraid of public fury over the "misdeeds" of the State government.
Shabbir Ali urged that Governor E S L Narasimhan direct KCR to focus more on the welfare of the poor and the development of the State.
