The state Election Commission on Wednesday released the final figures of voting in Tuesday's Telangana by-elections to 12 assembly constituencies on Wednesday.
According to the revised figures, 66.67% of voters cast their ballots during the voting on Tuesday.
Talking to media persons at his chambers in the Secretariat, Chief Electoral Officer I V Subba Rao said that the Sirpur assembly constituency saw the highest voter turnout of 82%.
The CEO added that Nizamabad Urban constituency saw only 45% of voters making their way to the polling station to cast their ballots.
Subba Rao said counting of votes would begin at 8am on July 30, and said he expected the results from the 7 constituencies in which EVMs were used, to come in by noon.
He added that results from the 5 constituencies in which the EC was forced to opt for the ballot paper system could be out by around 7 in the evening.
The CEO added that booth-wise counting of votes will take place in the constituencies where ballot papers were used.
