The Congress has reportedly finalised 4 candidates for the upcoming by-elections to be held in 16 constituencies, which were necessitated due to the disqualification of rebel Congress MLAs.
According to reports, the Congress is likely to field Kotthapalli Subbarayudu from Narsapur, Thota Trimurthulu from Ramachandrapuram, Dharmana Ramdas from Narsannapet, and Gangula Prathap Reddy from Aallagadda constituency. However, their names will be officially announced after High Command's approval.
Earlier, these constituencies were represented by M Prasada Raju (Narsapur), Dharmana Krishnadas (Narsannapet) and Pilli Subashchandra Bose (Ramachandrapuram), and they were disqualified by the Speaker.
Similarly, the Speaker has accepted the resignation of Praja Rajyam member from Allagadda MLA Shoba Nagi Reddy.
