Bus Strike: JAC Exhorts Staff To Attend "Million March"
JAC leaders also criticized the government for arresting RTC workers in advance to prevent them from attending the protest program at Tank Bund.

On the 35th day of the TSRTC workers' strike today, the TSRTC employee unions' JAC leaders Ashwathama Reddy and Raja Reddy appealed to the 48,000+ striking staff to reach Hyderabad by Friday night for a Chalo Tank Bund / "Million March" protest on November 9.
They also criticized the government for arresting RTC workers in advance to prevent them from attending the protest program, calling the pre-arrests an utter violation of democratic norms and an act of cowardice.
"Despite suppression by the government, we will hold the Million March protest on Tank Bund tomorrow in protest against the KCR government," Ashwatthama Reddy vowed.
For the uninitiated, a Million March, inspired from the Arab Spring Egyptian protests, was undertaken during the Telangana statehood movement, and aimed to get a million protestors to march to and congregate at a central pre-determined city square - in this case Tank Bund. That was a popular movement, and it is highly unlikely that the RTC employees' strike has any popular support or will draw any such numbers.
