Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana, on Wednesday, stated, quite clearly, that he would not quit his post over the issue of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media personnel after Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy had submitted his resignation to Governor E S L Narasimhan, Botsa said that Kiran had informed him about the latter's decision to quit on Monday itself.
Botsa also admitted that the resignation would cause some damage to the Congress party. Expressing sadness over the division of Andhra Pradesh, he, however, indicated that he would continue in his post.
"The resignation of any leader will generally cause some damage to the party. We are already trying to do some damage control with respect to the loss caused due to the resignations of several leaders from the party over the last few weeks?, he said. (INN)

Of course. Botsa has his own vested interest in bifurcation. He controls Vizag and has little presence in Hyd. With this, he can assume control of AP. We can fully expect him to pitch Vizag as residual state capital. Politicians are pathetic. They are all busy calculating how best to maximize their share on the loot.
