Former minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy withdraw the notice that he had served to Speaker Nadendla Manohar seeking a resolution in the Assembly to reject the State Reorganisation Bill.
Speaking to media persons on Monday, Komatireddy said that the CM should also apologise to the people of Telangana for serving the notice. He said that the Chief Minister's notice has disturbed the discussion on the Telangana Bill, and that immediate steps should be taken to resume the debate.
Referring to the speech made by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on the Telangana Bill in the Assembly, Komatireddy remarked that TDP MLAs from the region should review their continuation with the party and take steps to prevent themselves from being called "betrayers" of Telangana in future. (INN)
