Expressing his disappointment with the government's 'adamant' stance despite the state suffering losses in hundreds of crores of rupees each day, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Floor leader Etela Rajender on Tuesday demanded that a resolution, calling the Centre to table a bill on separate Telangana state in the Parliament, be introduced in the Assembly.
Talking to mediapersons at the Assembly media point, Rajender condemned the state government's indifferent attitude towards the demands for introducing a resolution despite the stirs by the Telangana non-government employees, students and lawyers, which have paralysed the administration in the Telangana region.
The TRS leader said that the massive public support to the 48-hour bandh call and the non-cooperation agitation has clearly emphasized the aspirations of the people for a separate Telangana state.
Reacting to the Supreme Court's directions to state government on fee reimbursement issue, the TRS leader said, "We had earlier warned the government to consider the financial implications of the scheme, even before it was implemented. The government had remained adamant and had gone ahead with the scheme, brushing aside our concerns. It must now act on its decisions and also ensure that the Supreme Court orders are obeyed."
Hailing the Apex Court's directions, Rajender asked the government to clear dues of colleges immediately, and put an end to students' problems.
