» Do Not Deduct APSRTC Salaries For Participation In Bandh: TRS
"Pay Full Salaries To APSRTC Staff"
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi appealed to the state government not to deduct the salaries of APSRTC staff who participated in the 2-day Telangana bandh.
Stating that the participation of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) employees in the 48-hour bandh call should not be ‘punished', the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Saturday appealed to the government not to deduct their salaries for the 2 days of absence from their duties.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly Media Point, TRS Floor Leader Etala Rajender said that he had met Minister for Transport Botsa Satyanarayana, and submitted a memorandum urging the government not to deduct the salaries for the 2 days that the bus conductors, drivers and other staff participated in the dharnas in favour of separate statehood.
Rajender further added that if the government does not heed its request, the TRS will do everything necessary to ensure that the salaries of the APSRTC staff from Telangana region would not be deducted.
He said that he had submitted the memorandum after coming to know that a GO was passed in favour of deducting the salaries of the APSRTC staff for 2 days.
