The Telangana Legislative Assembly session was adjourned to December 20 after the Assembly approved Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan's speech.
The Assembly witnessed a wordy duel between the ruling and the opposition parties today.
BRS working president and Sircilla MLA K T Rama Rao criticised the Governor's speech for undermining the role played by the previous government in rebuilding Telangana, and lashed out at the treasury benches saying that the Congress rule in the undivided State was still fresh in people's memory.
Later, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy gave a counter to KTR's comments and said that during the ten years of BRS rule the trends of destruction and monarchy were born.
BRS MLAs tried to obstruct the CM's speech and raised objections over the "derogatory" remarks made by him. The ruling party members later approved the Governor's speech in the House, and Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar then adjourned the House.
