Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary and Council Chairman Swamy Goud adjourned their respective Houses sine die after completing the business for the day. The Speaker adjourned the House after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao made some statements on crucial issues.
During the 16 days, the Assembly worked for 69 hours and 25 minutes. A total of 11 bills were passed. Out of 140 questions raised on various issues, the House gave written replies for 58, and 103 members spoke.
Leader of the House K Chandrashekar Rao and the ministers together made four statements. Short discussions were conducted on 11 items. The issues discussed in the House during the session were Haritha Haram, eradication of cheap liquor and rehabilitation of affected persons, crop loan waiver, MSP, KCR Kits, land cleansing measures and survey, minority welfare, the Rs 8,000 grant for farmers and farmer coordination committees.
The House also discussed the unemployment problem, Gurukul schools, basic facilities in schools, fees reimbursement, land reforms and new administration system. It approved the PD Act Amendment, Pattadar Pass Books, VAT Amendment 2, Gaming, Excise, Shops And Establishment, Road Development Corporation, Lokayukta, Endowment, and Official Language bills. The Chief Minister gave statements on 24-hour power supply, the handloom industry, the welfare of workers, the World Telugu Conference and death of MRPS activist Bharathi in the Assembly.
