The budget session of the Telangana Assembly today adjourned sine die after transacting legislative business for 13 days.
Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary adjourned the House sine die after the passage of the Telangana Panchayat Raj and Purapalaka bills after debates on them.
The House conducted business for 60 hours and 58 minutes, and discussed several key issues, Chary stated. He also said that a total of 11 bills were approved by the House during the budget session.
The session, however, will stand out most for two Congress MLAs - Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S A Sampath Kumar -
being expelled and all other Congress MLAs being suspended for the session after the two MLAs allegedly
hurled a microphone at the Telangana Council Chairman Swamy Goud that hurt his eye.
