Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu said that his word on Telangana was final, that his party had already made its stand clear long ago, and that there was no need to announce it afresh.
Talking to media persons at the NTR Trust Bhavan on Friday, Naidu said that it is the Centre that must take a final decision on Telangana.
"It is the responsibility of the Centre to take an early decision on it and put an end to the uncertainty in the state."
Naidu's statement assumes importance in the wake of TDP politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu stating that Seemandhra party leaders are opposing a division of the state and that they are in favour of an integrated state.
The TDP chief also criticised the Centre for blaming thr Opposition in the state for not reaching a 'consensus' or having 'unanimity' on the idea of the formation of a separate state, and asked the Centre not to link other parties to the delay in the Telangana state formation. (INN)
