The two parties may or may not win any seats, but are likely to split votes.
Hyderabad | 17th November 2020
Actor-turned-politician and the president of the Jana Sena Party (JSP) Pawan Kalyan today announced that his party would contest the upcoming GHMC elections.

He said that the party had decided to contest the elections after considering the pleas received from its workers from across the state, including the capital.

He said that several division level committees of the party had served the residents of the GHMC and worked hard for their welfare, and that the party had enormous support in the city.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has also decided to contest the elections.

The Telangana president of the party L Ramana today said that the party would contest in divisions where it was strong, would declare the names of its contesting candidates in a day or two.

He said that the party would fight alone in the elections without forming any alliance with other political parties.

He said that the TDP had a right to seek votes from the residents of Hyderabad as the city was developed by the party's president during his term as the CM of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
