TDP Buying Our MLAs, No Confidence On Speaker: YSRCP
The YSR Congress alleged that Chandrababu Naidu lacked confidence in his own MLAs, and was therefore purchasing its MLAs by spending upto Rs 50 crores.
YSR Congress Party spokesman Ambati Rambabu today alleged that Chandrababu Naidu lacked confidence in his own MLAs, and was therefore purchasing YSR Congress MLAs by spending about Rs 20 to Rs 50 crores.
Despite having full strength in the Assembly, the Chief Minister was encouraging defections, he charged, which showed how insecure Naidu was with his own MLAs.
The YSRCP would get disqualified its legislators who switched to the Telugu Desam Party if they failed to resign and seek fresh polls, he warned.
Rambabu said that they would also introduce a no-confidence motion against Speaker K Sivaprasada Rao in the Assembly budget session beginning in the first week of March for violating democratic norms.
Another YSR Congress Party leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana also criticized Chandrababu Naidu, saying that the latter was providing a "Tughlaq" rule, and was failing to develop the State.
Botsa accused Naidu of trying to loot the people in the name of free sand. The government should announce a sand policy to stop looting and protect the interests of the people, he said.
He also alleged that Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and Chandrababu Naidu were together failing to develop Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation. They were just praising each other and ignoring the plight of the common man, he charged. They must stop that and focus on welfare and developing the capital city, Botsa said.
"I could not understand why Venkaiah and Chandrababu did not react to the Rail Budget that caused injustice to the state," Botsa said.
