Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy today opined that the introduction of a creamy layer for BCs (family annual income above Rs. 6 lakhs) that would not be eligible for reservations - through a GO yesterday - was not justifiable.
In a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today, Reddy stated that the GO would render great injustice to the youth who were economically and socially backward in Telangana, where government jobs were concerned.
There was the possibility of BC youth losing opportunities of getting government jobs if their families had annual income above just Rs 6 six lakhs, which would be unfair to them, he said.
He demanded that the TRS government withdraw the GO.
